Decode: Iridology

The iris as a map of constitution, resilience, and lineage.... something to consider, every single part of you is part of your pattern atlas. You just need to pay attention and be willing.

My eyes with the superimposed iridology portraits in them. Thanks to ChatGPT and Adobe Photoshop I have been able to see my face and my eyes together for the first time in my life.

You almost never see your own eyes clearly or pay attention to what they look like. When I saw one of my clinicians promoting Iridology, I immediately wanted to check it out and dive into the ancient wisdom of the eye.

Did you know that our eyes could be the window to the soul? What do you believe?

My business partner is visiting this week, and we watched iOrigins by Mike Cahill tonight again. It was a brilliant reminder of the possibilities of how we could be moving through the world, from the afterlife to connections with the infinite and the divine. 11:11 was the number that brought the main character to Sofi's connected soul. That’s my number.

Everything in my life is a series of Patterns and connections. Each balanced on the other, each brought to life within the field.

This month, I have been digging into the inversions across the institutional landscape. You are not seeing the world through the direct lens in anything you actually process through your brain, but more importantly, how often do you actually even look at your eyes? Now, you might catch their color in a mirror, where it shifts with the light in the room and the shirt you happen to wear, and you call it brown or hazel and move on.

But magnified and lit, the iris is a different thing, actually, than what we think it is… so much more. The eye is a dense field of fibers radiating from the pupil, with faint circles, small grooves, and flecks of pigment, a structure you have carried your whole life and have looked at, but most surprisingly, you have almost never actually seen it, or understood it’s unique power. Iridology reads that field and lets you see your eyes for the first time, and it treats the iris as a map of the body, the way reflexology treats the sole of the foot.

How the Iris Reads

The iris is divided into zones, each corresponding to a region of the body. The reading moves through four areas:

  1. The constitution is the overall fiber structure, where tight, straight fibers indicate a robust build, and open, wavy fibers indicate areas to tend with care.

  2. The rings track stress and rhythm, the marks a busy nervous system leaves as it runs.

  3. The markings, the small openings, and pigment flecks hold local tendency and history.

  4. The zones place all of it on the body, so a marking over the heart reads as the heart and a marking over the pancreas reads as the pancreas.

We were scanned at the end of May, and our Iridologist Gary, sat with me for an hour and a half and walked through how it works, and our unique information. Going through this experience reminded me of how short the average doctor's visit is and how much information we lack in the process.

Want to Decode my iris together? It’s pretty cool.
