The Roam Learning Lab
Hi, Parents! 👋🏼 Hi, Kids… our collective future is going to rock. 🌈 💎
My name is Rache, and if you have just come across Rise and The Roam, I will share a few lines about what we are all about.
This page is FOR YOU and FOR YOUR KIDS.
If you have found me, you are probably a parent on the hunt for alternative ways to educate and support your child, with the tools you need to help them come into their own light. Like me, you probably have also started doing the inner work.
On this platform, you will receive:
Free activities for you and your children, roughly 45-minutes or so for each one.
Free content on big questions and big ideas to get you thinking
An invitation to join a group chat for parents and get to know the community.
Why me?
I am a homeschooling single mom (who works full-time, too), and I developed these tools as part of our family curriculum and thought they would be useful to other parents out there. I have 10- and 13-year-old boys and girls, and our activities have ranged in age from 2-17.
We live in nature and are all artists.
We think of education as a cyclical, dimensional system with lots of ages. And my kids are in a wild learning program two days a week that has really helped with that ‘big brother’ teacher concept. It’s how animals learn, so why not us?
If you like what you read, please sponsor, but no need to if money is tight; I will always keep The Roam open and available for parents.
A few more things I believe:
Our kids are our greatest teachers. And my job as a homeschooling mother is to help my kids harness their full potential by leaning into what they know and helping them understand how to use it.
If they can learn how to THINK for themselves and TRUST themself, I have done my job. The rest is memorization.
Most people want external belonging, and this translates into our children, who are stripped of their power before they are 7 years old. From there forward, they are on an endless quest to get back to themselves. We typically remember going through a midlife crisis again. When everything we thought we knew unravels, and we are standing alone and vulnerable, completely lost.
The Roam exists purely to support our children from day 1, helping them shape their lives around their central truth and mission.
If you have a need or an idea, reach out. I love conversation and connection, and I want to do this with you.
